About Renee Porter
I began my fitness journey at a young age, competing in swimming, track, and gymnastics in the small town of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Through these sports, I learned the importance of being healthy, as well as the value of consistency, hard work, and discipline, all of which are necessary for success.
Through high school I competed at the elite level and received a full ride swimming scholarship for college. After competing in college, I continued to work out, but not at the same intensity as an elite swimmer. I struggled, just like everyone else. Around this time I realized the value of balanced training and nutrition. Given my love for sports and passion for helping people, it made sense for me to become a Certified Personal Trainer and Wellness Lifestyle Coach.
Goals are huge motivators in our lives and in 2010 I needed something new. I decided to train for a bodybuilding and fitness competition in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. That marked my discovery of the bodybuilding world and I eventually relocated to Los Angeles in 2014. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about the nuanced relationship between strength training, functional movement, high intensity training, cardiovascular endurance, and nutrition. In 2017, I turned Pro with the IFBB organization.
You are not alone on this journey; you will have my full support and the motivation you need to succeed and reach your goals. This is a joint team effort, where you have someone by your side who has knowledge, genuinely cares, and will lead you in the direction of a healthier lifestyle.
